WHY CHOOSE LITHIUM TECHNOLOGIES?
Lithium-ion technology
What is lithium?
It is an alkaline metal located in the first group in the periodic table of elements. Highly reactive, lithium does not occur as a native element mineral in nature but in the form of oxides or salts contained in rocks or salt lake brine.
The rise of lithium-ion technologies
Historically, rechargeable lead-acid batteries were industrialized first, followed by nickel-acid batteries, and then the first lithium-ion batteries in the 1990s with the development of portable electronics. Although there is very little lithium in a battery (less than 2% by mass), it is an essential component of lithium-ion technology. Thanks to their high capacity to store electricity in small volumes and weights, lithium-ion technologies have progressively replaced traditional lead and nickel electrochemicals in applications requiring significant autonomy.
The technologies chosen by easyLi
There are several lithium-ion electrochemicals that all function according to the same principle of oxidation-reduction reactions. At easyLi, we believe that no single lithium-ion electrochemistry is better than any other, and we consider all the technologies available on the market as candidates we should consider for our battery systems, depending on the performance sought by our customers (autonomy, weight, lifetime, price, etc.).
We manufacture batteries in industrial volumes using electrochemical couples with lithium metal oxide cathodes (NMCA – Nickel Manganese Cobalt Aluminum – family) or metal phosphates, mainly iron (LiFePO4 or LFP), and with graphite or silicon-carbon anodes. We are constantly monitoring technological developments, which allows us to integrate any new technology into our range once it has been validated in our electrochemical laboratory.
At easyLi, we draw on more than 20 years of experience in this field, which means we can meet your specifications and guarantee the reliability, durability, and performance you expect.
Within the framework of our projects, we take into account all the key parameters of a battery system, namely:
- Autonomy
- Weight and dimensions
- Number of charge/discharge cycles
- Speed of charge, management of regenerative currents
- Thermal behavior
- Capacity to communicate with your application
- Local and cloud data logging, remote management
- Endurance in the harshest environments (extreme temperatures, impacts and vibrations, humidity, etc.)
- Extended storage without loss of performance (very low-power electronics)
The development of our products is based on eco-design approaches that allow them to be maintained and reconditioned at a lower cost, significantly extending their service life, which reduces their total cost of ownership.
Expert manufacturer of battery systems
Lithium-ion
Since 2011, we have been designing and manufacturing sustainable lithium-ion batteries for electric mobility and stationary storage for manufacturers and operators of two- to four-wheel electric vehicles, logistics and robotics industries, and building professionals committed to improving their energy performance.
Our solutions are sustainable because they are designed to be easily disassembled and repaired following a high-performance industrial process. We provide Maintenance in Operational Condition (MOC) services for our products to extend their lifetime.
PROJECT PLANNING
Specifications
Do you have a project? Would you like some help, or do you need help defining your precise requirements? We are here for you, starting with the preliminary study phase, which will allow us to confirm the specifications of your battery system and its environment (charger, communication with the application, mechanical and thermal constraints, etc.).
We will define the battery system that best suits your uses (autonomy, power, dimensions, weight, communication with the device, etc.) for you, integrating your budgetary expectations (DesignToCost) and our know-how in terms of sustainability (DesignForRepair).
